Sustainability

Construction of wastewater treatment facilities to avoid placing a burden on the surrounding environment.

Water used at NSK's factories is treated at the company’s own wastewater treatment facilities to meet water quality standards, before it is discharged into nearby rivers or the wastewater treatment facility within the industrial park. These facilities have been set up at the Head Office and A1 Factory in accordance with laws and ordinances. They are under constant management and inspected regularly to check for abnormalities. Water quality is also analyzed at the discharge outlet to verify that it meets water quality standards.

If the discharged water is found not meet the water quality standards, the system has a function for shutting off the discharge, which is checked once a year by operating it. Adequate measures are in place to deal with environmental risks in the event of discharged water not meeting the required quality standards.
